June 8, 201411 yr 100,000.00 Euro plus 19% VAT for a 500cc 2 stroke? Are these guys on drugs? Ducati Panigale Superleggera $60,000 USD. Am I missing something here?
June 9, 201411 yr Author Yeah & it does not have ABS so most here won't want one anyway Kidding aside it was not posted as an advertisement as only 46 will be made Yes 100k & 19% VAT if you live in Germany I posted it because I thought it was interesting & yes price is silly but then again to compare it to a Ducati you would need to compare it to a Desmosedici RR Team Version of which only 1500 were made & resale prices reached 200K at some point. But they sold new for right around 75k if I remember right & that was nearly 10 years ago by a factory with the size/resources Ducati has. Much more costly for a small company to do something like this. This Ronax is not something the average person would consider. It is a 2 stroke 500 which is 100 pounds lighter than a Panigale R 57 pounds lighter than the Desmosedici RR mentioned above Few have ever rode something like a 2-stroke 500cc GP bike 4 cyl 80 degree V engine with counter rotating crankshafts Map controlled FI is something a 500 GP never had too. Was interesting to look at the specs Thought others may enjoy it too. But yes not buying this or a Panigale for that matter Would sure love to ride one of these for 30 minutes though

Well money not being a concern I know which one I would have in my stable. I suspect the missing part is the key to your lack of understanding. You are comparing the price of apples to the price of oranges. Surgeon General: It is OK to smoke the opposition with two-stroke power.
June 9, 201411 yr The Ronax 500 is modeled after the Honda NSR500 which took Rossi to victory in the 2001 Moto GP. Only 46 are being made because that's Rossi's number. I can appreciate the idea to re-create a historical bike but at these prices and an oil burner doesn't do it for me, however fast it goes. It's not even going to pass an emission test in just about every country. A Ducati Panigale Superleggera is not the same as a Panigale R. But if you like it you like it, a man's bike is above reproach.
June 9, 201411 yr There you go. I like two-strokes. Four strokes really do nothing for me they don't have the same burble , they don't have the same rush , etc. ...razor-thin power bands, lack of electronics, and propensity to launch riders into low-Earth orbit. Four strokes are Ok as they get one from one place to another apart from that... I like chainsaws and multi-cylinder outboard motors as well here's one for the purists and it gets rid of mosquitoes! Also lots of F1 Power Boat videos out there, sadly most with stupid musical accompaniment.
