Well i have put some questions in previous posts about my Thai g/f giving birth to our baby daughter in Thailand soon, I am waiting on the 118 form to arrive and fill out for when i get back, Will my g/f be able to come for another holiday to Australia with myself and our baby. She has had 2 visitor visas and the last was granted in January 2006 so as she has been here for 2 visits as a tourist with me showing her all the tourist desinations and bringing our relationship closer i am wondering the 3rd application may be a bit harder as she has been granted on the other occasions for tourist purposes,

Would it be sufficient enough for the app centre to approve her to visit again with the understanding of us wanting to show our new born baby to my family while i work 3 or 4 days per week and me being with our newborn for her first 6 months I would like to see her first 6 months of growing up.

I would put in writing also that as i started new job with large company it is hard for me to take to much time away from work ?

The embassy Australia when i phoned them also said that i can use my pay slips as proof of income for evidence of funds Is this true ?

Our baby will have Australian citizenship so i will also have to apply for passport, Where will i be doing that also?

Thank You for all who read and reply Hope i can get some more info..

You should be ok for a third visit,

Wouldnt tell them you have a new job, just supply payslips from the new job and the old job. Payslips are acceptable as a proof of income.

Passport applications are made through DFAT

Officially, the embassy will tell you that there is no limit to the number of visitor visas they will issue, provided there is a valid reason for applying. In other words, you can't just keep claiming "touring" as the main reason and expect to be given a visa.

In your case, I think that you have a valid reason in wanting to bring the new born back to Australia. I agree with Graham, I don't think you will have a problem provided you can present a strong application in the other essential areas.

You will need to convince them that she intends to return to Thailand and/or that you are in the process for applying for permanency.

you'll have to apply for your childs citizenship first at the embassy. That'll take 10 days and 3550 baht. You do this at the immigration desk.

Once you have the citizenship certificate, then you can wonder over to the consular section and apply for a passport. Another 10 days and 2800 odd baht.

All in all, not bad value for the little blue book all things considered.
