AFTER COUP
Thaksin united with his sister

BANGKOK: -- Oak Panthongtae, son of fugitive ex-premier Thaksin Shinawatra, on Thursday posted on his instagram page a photo of Thaksin hugging a woman.

The woman is believed to be former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra; Thaksin's sister, who left Bangkok for Paris last night reportedly to attend Thaksin's birthday party on July 26.

Yingluck had to ask permission from the junta to go abroad

Oh sweetheart I'm so happy, they let you escape from conviction for all the crimes against Thai people, for which you actually should rot in jail.

Hey sis, let me tell you how to buy gold and diamonds from troubled African countries. It's fun, we'll make a lot of money! Plus, each dictator will give a you free passport, and I know some great places to hide money.

Reunited and it feels so good
Reunited 'cause we understood
There's one perfect fit
And, sugar, this one is it
We both are so excited 'cause we're reunited, hey, hey

Yeuck !!!!

I don't know I can't see her face in the photo - perhaps the photographer can try harder next time?

A family tradition continues. Does anyone really think she'll return to Thailand for trial?

People who make statements like the above aren't as smart as they think they are.

Since one is already a convicted criminal and the other one potentially, the Prime Minister of Thailand would seem out of reach for these two. And thank Buddha for that.

I qualified my statement above by specifying "a completely free vote". If some potential candidates are prohibited from running then that's not completely free, is it?

Forgetting the late Samak Sundarev. Of course.

And forgetting that ALL prime ministers are elected by the legislature and not by the citizens by direct vote,

Which allows that both Somchai and Abhisit were elected as prime ministers,

by the same legislative processes and confirmed by the head of state in all instances.

Interesting barrage from the gullible on this page. The current Telecoms scam, since the coup, dwarfs anything these two may have done. It's being discussed offshore, just not here (google is your friend if you put down that chang).

A post containing anti coup comments has been removed as per the below notice:

NCPO: All suspects in lese majeste cases, national security cases, violators of NCPO orders will face court martial

Due to the fluid situation in Thailand and the pressure being placed on the media, Thaivisa will temporarily impose strict limitations on any comments that can be construed as being negative about the imposition of Martial Law or the Coup. Posters will also not be permitted to make references to the royal family.

It is the hope of Thaivisa that this will be a temporary situation. Thaivisa will continue to monitor the situation and it is our wish that in a short while we will be able to less strict in the policy concerning posting. Posts contravening the policy will be removed without notice.

Please exercise extreme care in your posts. The same rules applies to Facebook, Twitter and other social media. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

(That's addressed to both of them)

I did just notice one other thing. Above the title of the article above is tagged "AFTER COUP". That's not being very specific as to the time frame, is it... wink.png

What's the problem? Two prime minsters removed from office by coups.

So lets not be rude.

I would question whether Yingluck really is his sister. Niece may be nearer the mark, perhaps?

I'm simply stating that IMO if the people of Thailand were free to vote for whomever they wanted one of these two would win a general election. Do you think otherwise? If so, why?
