Best riding route from Pattaya to Rayong beach

Featured Replies

I am going out for a ride right now and someone had mentioned that there is a good road along the coast in Rayong to ride.  I am going to do a big loop and the way out I am just taking this route.  I am not familiar at all with the geography around here but have GPS.  And suggestions for a return route would be appreciated.

Also if others have any other suggestions for alternative day rides from Pattya or links to that info that would be great.  I am kind of flying blind on this one, but it should be fun anyway.

I can tell you that those routes are high traffic and low fun

Better just to follow highway 36 to get to Rayong ASAP and then follow the beach road that runs along Hadmaerlampung, Suan Son and Laem MaePhim. I don't think there is a good route to get to Rayong from Pattaya, they are all high traffic, low scenery slogs. The best rides are all east of Rayong city. Follow highway 36 until it joins highway 3 and then follow highway 3 for about 5km and then turn right on the road that takes you to Hadmaerlampung (route1001).

Thanks for the input guys.  I just ended up riding to the center of Rayong and then going back along the beach to Sattahip.  Like you guys said, not the best ride ever but was fun to explore.
