Saucy photo popping up after using Nokia android app store

Featured Replies

I downloaded google maps on my new Nokia X2 from the official Nokia app store and then when I installed it a photo of a scantily clad lady carrying a bottle of something (lube?) and some Thai text popped up. If that happened on my PC I would assume I was infected by a virus and reformat. The app was one of the top apps listed on the Nokia store but the publisher was "TOPTECH", which I find odd. What's going on?

I gotta ask EXACTLY what did you download. Because I've just downloaded the Nokia x app store and they don't have Google maps. 1 mobile market does though!!

If you go to the official app store and go to Top Apps what I downloaded is approximately app number 34 on this list. It's just called "Maps". It did install google maps but it seems "TOPTECH" are adding their own junk. Why does Nokia allow this? I'm going to reset my phone, root it and install the official Google Play store so I can avoid third party crap like this.

Ok. Well that's not official then. On the Nokia store I downloaded it gave an option of downloading another store. I did that and ALL the Google apps were there. Worth a look. It's funny though as a lot of Android users want 'HERE ' maps from Nokia but can't get it to work.
