PETERTHEEATER Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Can anyone point me to a source of Pull Switches for electric lighting. I want to convert a stack of wall lights that I have (currently un-switched) to enable individual lamps to be switched on/off. The type that I am looking for is similar to the speed control switch on ceiling fans. A switch operated by a toggle and cord pull.
transam Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Yep, go to a big DIY store that sells ceiling fans, they have a stand with spare parts, just renewed pull switches in a couple of fans...
PETERTHEEATER Posted September 16, 2014 Author Posted September 16, 2014 Thanks, Sorry for late response, my e-mail link is not working. I found what I wanted today in a Boonthavorn Store. A simple two-wire ON/OFF Switch intended for a fan but adequately rated for the wall (sconce) lamps used with a LED Bulb. Branded as Starlight who produce electric ceiling fans locally. Switches that I have found in Home Pro are all multi-speed so, if used for a lamp on/off would require more than one tug! The two-wire does the job and will physically fit into the base of tha lamps that I have.
