Police are looking for a man who robbed a 7-11 store.

PHUKET: -- Police are looking for a man who robbed a 7-11 store in Baan Khean on Sunday (October 5).

The robber escaped on a motorbike with B6,500 after holding up the store’s two cashiers at gun point just after 9pm on Sunday. The store on Baan Don Road is located about 500 metres from Talang Police Station.

The robber reportedly entered the store after parking a motorbike outside and then threatened the cashiers with a pistol.

The cashiers were unable to give police a clear description of the robber as he wore a crash helmet to carry out the raid. They were also unable to describe the robber’s getaway vehicle.

However, the cashiers did notice that the robber spoke with a southern Thai accent.

After reviewing CCTV footage of the incident, investigating officers led by Pol. Lt. Col Phisit Chernphet believe the robber is between 160 and 165 cm tall.

"Pol. Lt. Col Phisit Chernphet believe the robber is between 160 and 165 cm tall."

Enough evidence to catch him.

He must stick out like a sore thumb in the crowd.

Pity the police are all tucked away playing cards, watching soapies, drinking, directing traffic at entrances to jewellery shops, driving/riding around with no care in the world or extorting money from people.

Had they been available for duty, then this crim may have been caught sooner or may have decided its to risky as the Thai police are now doing their "paid salary" and responsible jobs ~sic~

maybe they can put a mesure line on the door, so they can see how tall everybody is

Not that I disagree at all, but police cannot be at every little isolated corner, convenience store or dark crevice protecting loot worth $250. It's not realistic to expect any police anywhere to be this vigilant in a shifting 3rd world country. Much of Phuket is rural and isolated, even in tourist areas.

Well, I guess you can catch him now you have that profile ...
