webfact Posted October 7, 2014 Share Posted October 7, 2014 PHUKET: Stick up at 7-11 StoreEakkapop ThongtubPolice are looking for a man who robbed a 7-11 store.PHUKET: -- Police are looking for a man who robbed a 7-11 store in Baan Khean on Sunday (October 5).The robber escaped on a motorbike with B6,500 after holding up the store’s two cashiers at gun point just after 9pm on Sunday. The store on Baan Don Road is located about 500 metres from Talang Police Station.The robber reportedly entered the store after parking a motorbike outside and then threatened the cashiers with a pistol.The cashiers were unable to give police a clear description of the robber as he wore a crash helmet to carry out the raid. They were also unable to describe the robber’s getaway vehicle.However, the cashiers did notice that the robber spoke with a southern Thai accent.After reviewing CCTV footage of the incident, investigating officers led by Pol. Lt. It's not realistic to expect any police anywhere to be this vigilant in a shifting 3rd world country. Much of Phuket is rural and isolated, even in tourist areas.
