BANGKOK: -- A woman filed a police complaint yesterday claiming she was assaulted by an employee inside a mobile service provider’s store.

Tree-ratchada Pitchayanansakul, a 27-year-old transgender, said she and her friend went to a TrueMove shop at a Rangsit shopping mall yesterday to inquire about an iPhone 5s she’d previously sent for repair.

Tree-chada claimed the shop initially told her the repair would be covered by insurance, but upon entering the shop employee Patcharaporn Inpaen, 24, quoted a repair cost of THB10,000.

When Tree-ratchada asked for other solutions, the employee “rudely” wrote a number down paper and told her to call Apple headquarters in Singapore.

Extremely short tempers reminiscent of 7-year-old schoolyard bullies - another rarely promoted aspect of much-touted "Thainess".

Times they are a changing!... "man beats up and robs ladyboy" not normally this way round is it?

The assailant, 24 year-old Patcharaporn Inpaen, was actually reported as being female in Thairath.

The victim of the assault stated s/he has her own mobile phone shop at Rangsit Shopping Mall, so not sure why s/he was using the services of another shop there.

You sure she is Thai?

The shop owner maybe, but most shop employee are Burmese.

Count her lucky.

Some Burmese that I heard of are being charged for Rape and Murder of farang tourists.

I see Khun Tree-ratchada has the middle finger bandaged-up....probably gave the finger to Khun Patcharaporn who then decided to bend it a little.

Maybe it was when 'Tree' stuck the middle finger up

the assistant got angry and broke it?

What are you on about exactly?

Or like landlords running rough shod over tenants. No regards for ethics, fair play, or business like consensus. My way or the highway, arrogant and manipulative with impunity.

Wow someone ripping off a lady boy ? we in the twilight zone or something ?

Clarification on incident: Customer was given Heimlich maneuver as customer seemed to be choking on an Apple . Warranty's are great in Thailand until you actually need to use them.

Sometimes you just gotta explain it better!

That's not even an Apple phone so I doubt that she will get much joy from Apple Singapore.

If he/she had been given the iphone back there probably wouldn't have been a problem.

Cut herself shaving??whistling.gif

Let's enforce customers to wear helmets when they enter shops.

But I don't think they make sizes for Tree

I think Tree "transgendered" the samsumg to iphone.

When Apple Repair Center received the phone, the employees said..."What the eff?!"

Note to self: remember to pay the next True bill on time.

Ladyboys are now called transgender...lets not offend anyone...doesnt look like the employee choked hard enough; to bad.

No point made, just a sad attempt at humour.

Were your there? Or do you just like to make up malicious rumors?

Why should it matter to us how transgenders wish to be addressed? If they find a term offensive then it only seems fair not to use it.

As for how hard someone is choked during an assault, its irrelevant. Assault is a crime and should be punished.

The degree of the assault and how badly someone is injured no doubt will be reflected in the sentence given by the courts.

Actually, I think they were being sarcastic; something which seems to have gone right over your head.

This type of low class behaviour and downright awful service is so prevalent here it's just not funny. I expect this little b*tch gave out the wrong info initially and is facing the bill herself for her mistake or is simply angry at being wrong and at the subsequent loss of face and questioning. What makes it so frustrating is there are rarely stories of the public hitting back to counter this carry on... such as the ladyboy bitch-slapping the little sow all around the shop.

Sarcasm is said to be a low form of humor as its intent is generally to get laughs at someone else's expense. The pointed humor may not be funny to the victim but its funny to those who understand the barb as it feeds their intellectual egos.

Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit since its aim is to belittle or hurt someone, and to laugh at their expense; we associate the word "cutting" with it. On the other hand, true wit associates with the word "levity", and boosts everyone's spirits, being aimed at an action, a happening or an attitude.

I find no humor in sarcasm at the expense of non-public figures. Good on you if you like that sort of humor. I'll bet you laugh when someone hurts themselves.

BTW, as sarcasm goes, that was a lame attempt.
