Phuket and Korea to hold an art show

PHUKET, 9 Jan 2015 (NNT) - Phuket Rajabhat University and the Korea International Cooperation Agency are holding an art exhibition ‘Draw Korea With You Mind’ with the objectives of expressing the perception of Thai and Korean cultures as well as telling Korean stories through Thai art pieces.

The exhibition showcases works from 7 volunteer Korean artists in Thailand and Thai students attending Korean classes for the first time. The show had already been held in Bangkok on November 18th, 2014, at the Korean Cultural Center, the organizers said, adding that it will be featured in 5 other provinces across the Kingdom, namely Phuket, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Ubon Ratchathani and Khon Kaen.

The exhibition in Phuket is the first of its regional roadshows.

Phuket Rajabhat University itself has submitted six pieces of art works named ‘Roikliew or Spiral Marks’, ‘Impression of Korea’, ‘Perfect Way’, ‘Gangnam’, ‘Kimchi’, and ‘Leader’.
