Didn't they just get a new big cheese last year promising an all singing and dancing cop shop?

Looks like the gen is getting his people in now to milk the place....

Give the guy a chance. He looks like a career police officer - if so, that could be very interesting for some of the more "established" officers there.

This is odd news. When the military took over, one of the first things they did was to

dump the the head of the nest of vipers known as the Pattaya police department.

Became a bit of a joke to me, as that guy must have paid many million baht

for the position, and then he was fired. So after him was a new guy, and now there

is another new guy ? What the heck is going on here ? Cannot even imagine the

amount of money that is controlled by the Pattaya police chief. Hell even the jet

ski scam alone is many many million baht per year, plus the shakedown of virtually

every business in town, including my condo.....

With any success??? I hope so, sounds like a hard fighting guy, it is no secret about all the crooked activities and crooks in Pattaya.

It should not take long for a honest top policeman to start a big and very noticeable clean up of Pattaya, and yes the Jetski guys will be more than a little worried like many of the other crooks in town, Thai and none Thais alike.

This police officer is serious about his job , I like it. And if you try to bribe him he will challenge you to a muay thai fight.

Can't always go on appearances but he looks the part of a Police Chief. Hope he serves the community well.

What has changed since about 40 years ago?????

Interesting that he's also got time to be major Muay Thai boxing promoter AND the Police chief of a major city??!! Would he be allowed to do these jobs in a 1st World country??

Obviously being Police Chief of a major city in Thailand is only a part time position since there is so little crime here.

From what I see on the golf courses very few among the upper echelons of society have full time positions.
