Shipped a container from CM to the US and they completely screwed it up. Leaving the container in the port rather than having it delivered to my house. Once the broker in the US told me about the screw-up *company name removed* has not responded to my many emails.

It is not a screw up. The container is probably being held at port due to export/import taxes being required for payment.

Why the "many emails"? Why not pick up the telephone and call the lady? She speaks fluent English if you can't speak Thai.

Except that the lady who owns the company is a fluent English speaker, and I'm sure that the OP knows that. Writing many emails in Thailand is a waste of time. As you said, they rarely get responded to.

Delivery to the port or delivery to the house ?

Same shipper or different ?

Named US Port

Then you have issues such as

Terminal Handling

Customs Clearance Fee

Security Fee

Storage Fee - If the container is not moved from the port within a few days you pay

Transport from the Port to your home

Its very import when getting quotes, you are looking at LIKE FOR LIKE, and everything is included, otherwise what you thought was a cheap quote, ends up costing a lot mote

You are given a shipping cost from a shipping line, but there are many ADD-ONS

The name of the company has been removed. For legal reasons we do not allow 'name and shame' topics. Discussing shipping is OK, but identifying companies is not.

I have spoken to that "lady" on the phone before when shipping a motobike and the bill I received was more than the amount quoted. She started to yell at me on the phone, it was really quite awefull.

Why expose your to this abuse? And from a lady? Are they the only ones who ship.
