Google Apps for Education - a high quality training opportunity

I hope this is not seen as an abuse of our sponsorship of this forum - I tried to post in Chiang Mai Events, but it is closed to me posting there. Is that new?

Anyway... this is an offer that I believe is of interest to many Chiang Mai residents, so hopefully okay!
We have some high quality Google Apps training scheduled at Lanna International School Thailand (LIST) on Saturday 7th March. It will be provided by very respected people in the field of Google Apps for Education (Lee Webster and Fabrice Vanegas). Around 40 LIST staff members will attend the training on this day, alongside 20 teachers from the other Chiang Mai international schools.

For the first time, I would like to extend the offer to join us to members of the wider Chiang Mai community who are interested in learning more about GoogleApps, and especially its use within the field of education.

The cost for this event will be only 1200 Baht per person (for either a morning or an afternoon session). We are very happy to be able to offer this opportunity here in Chiang Mai; and at a fraction of the cost that these sessions are normally offered in Bangkok.
To book, please see Ms Neung in Office 2 (the finance office) at Lanna international School Thailand (you cannot book via email; BUT, you can call her on 053806230 to check availability before coming in to school)

Detailed Event Information:

Google Apps For Education Training will take place at LIST on Saturday 7th March (EITHER morning or afternoon session for each attendee), available at both beginner and intermediate levels. The beginner session is very much aimed at Google Apps/Tools complete beginners level; people with even moderate skills should choose intermediate level.
The presenters will be Lee Webster (intermediate level) and Fabrice Vanegas (beginner level) via iTeach in Bangkok - these are very well respected presenters.

To enable us to get the most from this opportunity, and for them to deliver what they want to deliver, each session will be 4 hours long. The morning session will therefore be from 8am to 12pm, and the afternoon from 1 to 5pm.

Each attendee will also need a laptop computer.

As I write this we have available:
Morning (8-12am): 0 beginner places, 1 intermediate places
Afternoon (1-5pm): 8 beginner places, 9 intermediate places
We look forward to getting together with you all for this training.

Saturday's Google Training at LIST:
Thank you to everyone who gave up their Saturday to come and join us for this event. It was attended by 40 LIST teachers, 18 from other Chiang Mai International Schools, and a handful of non-educators - it was great to see you all; thank you.
Lee and Fabrice, from iTeach Bangkok, did a wonderful job of opening our eyes to the possibilities opening up within Google Apps for Education. Thank you both, and we look forward to working with you again in the future.
