We can more openly discuss the event here, without so many of the nutters in General News giving 40 different versions of the same opinion and squabbling among themselves. (Or should it be 'amongst'?)

I disagree Ken, not only does this place need livening up with some spirited debate, but would you rather this place be associated with the nutters in the other Bedlam, these guy's would never have been allowed wandering the wards, but locked down in suitable jackets and padded rooms.

And they are free to dispel their logic to whichever group they feel safest with, I treat them all with caution, the posters that is, not Muslims.

Forgive me for thinking "Outside the Box " was created for the more serious topics of Bedlam clients.

I remember its creation, a heartfelt plea by Robski, who promptly departed full time for other shores, and I thought at the time it was not a bad idea, wasn't sure if it was a good one, but not bad all the same.

I think now, the frivolous nature of Bedlam, was more tempered by the more serious threads, and it was a good mix, maybe my thoughts are themselves tempered by nostalgic remembrances, the changes, members departed, both enforced and by time, now Bedlam proper is devoid of creativity, is banal in nature, and the Sandpit is a glorified World News free for all, and dare I say, one half step above General.

I actually agree Ken, it is not right, under the present structure, to be in 47, however as in all structured formations, it has risen, plateaued, and is now in decline, and for reasons of the criminally insane, I have joined Facebook for my sins.

The final straw for me in World News, was being called a Troll by the North American apologists, because they refused to answer questions that were legitimately asked of them.

I, at first, welcomed "Outside The Box." I thought it nice that Bedlamites had a serious subforum available that appealed to their saner side (and it could be argued that some possesed a saner side at all) to discuss issues using a fresh perspective. But then afterwards thought it should be renamed, "Inside The Box" as most posters simply rehashed existing perspectives grounded in the usual personal bias (which they either can't seem to see through or are unwilling to do so). I'm still in favour of it, though.

I don't post regularly any longer but I have noticed that Bedlam has become quite deserted and infrequented. I can't recall ever seeing a single page which shows "latest replies" upwards of 3 months in age. Seems Bedlam is in need of some new blood?

I believe, though, that raising serious issues in Bedlam's main forum will merely attract the posters from "Outside The Box." On the other hand, I do recall Belam in much more ancient times when a certain cadre of posters would try to hijack the forum to discuss political issues. I believe we eventually squeezed them out with an over abundance of inanity.
