Terror arrests in Australia over planned ANZAC Day attack

Five men were arrested in Australia on Saturday with two of them allegedly planning a terrorist attack on a ceremony commemorating ANZAC soldiers who have fought and died for their country.

Man ruptures thumb tendon playing Candy Crush Saga

A 29 year old California man ruptured a tendon in his thumb from playing the popular game Candy Crush Saga.

The incident, which is believed to be the first of its kind related to excessive smartphone gaming, was the result of the man playing the game using only his left hand for a period of eight weeks.

National police chief says Samui car bomb gang implicates a former influential politician

PM & Deputy PM to attend Asian - African Conference Summit

BANGKOK, 18 April 2015 (NNT) – Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Tanasak Patimapragorn will be visiting the Republic of Indonesia to attend the Asian - African Conference Summit at the invitation of President Joko Widodo.

PM Prayut is scheduled to participate in a leaders’ meeting from April 22-23, while Deputy PM and Foreign Affairs Minister Tanasak is due to partake in a ministerial meeting on April 20 in Jakarta.

PM Prayut has assigned Deputy PM and Minister of Foreign Affairs Tanasak to deputize for him at the ceremonies to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the Asian African Conference and the 10th Anniversary of the New Asian-African Strategic Partnership (NAASP) on April 24 in Bandung city.

Thai delegates will also attend other sideline meetings, including the Asia-Africa Parliamentary Conference, the Asia-Africa Business Forum and the Asia-Africa Smart City Summit 2015.

The summit, which is held under the theme “Strengthening South-South Cooperation to Promote World Peace and Prosperity”, is aimed at encouraging stronger partnership among participating countries. Leaders from over 100 Asian and African countries, observers from 16 countries and international organizations have been invited to join the event.

PM Prayut will take this opportunity to reiterate the country’s determination and readiness to foster ties among developing countries in Asia and Africa.

Bangkok:- Photos of a young Thai man holding hand with a farang on a skytrain during the Songkran holidays has gone viral.


Many Thai social networkers, especially women and lady boys, have forwarded the photos on Facebook, Twitter and LINE networks with comment indicating that they envy the Thai man because the farang man looked very handsome.

PM: Measures will be implemented to set lotto ticket price at 80 baht

BANGKOK, 18 April 2015 (NNT) - Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha told the media that he would use the recently introduced section 44 of the interim constitution to enforce the selling price of government lottery tickets at 80 baht a piece, as the previous policy failed to achieve that goal.

Phuket lifeguard contracts approved

Phuket lifeguards will hopefully be back on the beaches by next month.

PHUKET: Phuket Governor Nisit Jansomwong finally approved the contracts for lifeguards to return to the beaches on Thursday (April 16). There have been no lifeguards on duty since March 27.
