A misunderstanding.

They got their wires crossed.

The police have a new toy, the army brass will have to talk to each other in the cone of silence.

How many sections, orders and articles do they have that allow detention without charge?

The army does not want the police tapping their phones, but are very interested in tapping police phones.

Two turd sandwiches, one with barf chili sauce and the other with lime piss, take turns calling each other excrement......

I think this is misread. The Thais are sending a subtle message to Israelis. As for me, I wouldn't trust Israelis with anything, especially security devices.

I can hear that Israeli bombers firing up and heading down the runway, time to get that aircraft carrier out of mothballs and hope that old Chinese submarines are ready for delivery.

It shows that the army is scared of the police. The BIB needs to get better intel details what the army is up to and which casinos or brothels get raided next

Is no one else concerned that the Thais are now going into the paranoia security business. We'll have to start paying attention

to our phone calls.

"According to the officers, the businessmen were demonstrating a device that would improve Thai police’s ability to intercept phone calls, track the location of phone users, and analyze calling data."

Bodes well for the future

It would seem they were working on better intel, but the army intel was better.

Wonder how the top cop feels now after this misunderstanding?

I agree with you and maybe nobody has noticed that yesterday the US court of appeals has ruled that the bulk collection of telephone metadata is unlawful as practiced by the NSA, and here we have the police looking at equipment that can exactly do that.

"display import documents" i.e., notes for the appropriate army officer(s)

Would documents be paper bags of small documents with pictures of important people on them ? You know, like postage stamps, only bigger and best seen in bundles.
