Are there any suggestions for cafes/Co-working spaces with good internet and a nice atmosphere in chiang rai?

Just arrived here. I'm staying in the city area and need to get some work done.

Thanks guys!

I haven’t use internet in a coffeeshop for ages but Doi Chaang Coffee House used to be a standby for some old-timers. I would think most places in the tourist areas or at Central Plaza would fit the bill. Not every place has good speed, however.

Not sure of any places you can 'camp out' for hours to work, but if you do find a quiet place you might be able to connect to one of the many ubiquitous 3BB WiFi Hotspots. 99฿/mo unlimited access and about 10mbps download most days. Can be subscribed to from your Mobile Subscription (AIS or DTAC WiFi HotSpot) or directly through 3BB.

Also, please be aware, the Co-Work spaces sometimes get raided by Immigration every once in a while. Keep your passport handy.

Pangkorn Cafe near Entrance to Tops Grocery at Central, Wawee Cafe near the Meng Rai Monument, Black Canyon (Central and Big C).

The last time I looked Wawee had been turned into something else. At least the name has been changed.

Well all of the coffee-shop chain outlets have internet, and all of the one-off privately owned coffee shops that I know of do too, as well as a lot of other places - hard to find somewhere that doesn't have it these days, and the coffee is generally excellent (to my taste anyway) and locally produced. But if you want to use it for work I would use the hotel or condo or wherever you're staying.

I used a place by B2 Night Bazaar that is 10 thb for 50 minutes...speed was 33 Mbps download. Very quiet during school hours...nice mom and pop next door for drinks/snacks. Also a great coin laundry with an actual dryer, and the nice lady will transfer your stuff into the dryer, free of charge. Rates are a lot higher in the immediate tourist area, by the bus station. For 10 or 20 per day, it is almost worth not even bringing the notebook. And yes, Immigration has their eyes on the work-spaces.
