First over, Broad gets Rogers, caught Cook for 0.

Broad's 300 test wicket, and so he joins the 2000 runs, 300 wickets club.

Make that 301!

Same over, Smith caught Root for 6.

There was talk of whether Broad could step up as the leader of the attack in Anderson's absence; seems that he can.

Warner c Buttler b Wood 0

8 balls played, Australia 10 for 3!

When Clark dropped himself down to number 5, I doubt he expected to be batting after just 8 balls.

Before the start, Aggers, McGrath and Swann on TMS were saying that putting Australia in was a bit of a gamble by Cook as the cloud cover will be gone by lunch and it will be perfect batting conditions this afternoon. So they needed 3 or 4 wickets by lunch.

It's now 21 for 5 in the fifth over!

Voges c Stokes b Broad 1; Broad's 4th wicket.

Will Australia last until lunch?

Lowest test score ever was 26 by New Zealand against England at Auckland in 1955.

Australia now 27 for 5, so they wont break that ignominious record.

Though it is the first time 5 wickets have fallen in the first 5 overs of a test.
