Commuters are warned not to pass through Tuk Chai junction on Oct 21-23

Bangkok authority has warned members of the public to avoid using the routes passing through Tuk Chai intersection between October 21st and 23rd, as a bridge is being constructed in the area.

Mr. Vithoon Suksankavanich, the Director of the Construction Supervision Division under the Public Works Department of Bangkok, said the intersection near Tuk Chai will be temporarily closed down from the 21st and the 23rd of this month between 11 PM and 5 AM.

All public vehicles will not be allowed to pass through the intersection, and they will be forced to turn to other routes for u-turn. Motorists are advised to avoid using this intersection during the construction period, if necessary.

Mr. Vithoon said 63 percent of the construction is now complete, and the bridge is expected to be fully functional at the beginning of this December.

The final touches such as the restoration of nearby areas and the development of surroundings will later be implemented, to facilitate the commuters and prevent severe traffic congestion in this junction.
