Body of Danish tourist falling off ferry returning from Koh Chang found today

KOH CHANG: -- Naval rescue workers today found the body of a 73-year-old Danish tourist after she fell into the sea from a ferry on the way to Koh Chang on Thursday night.

The Navy’s patrol vessel resumed the search for the tourist, Mrs Inge Lise Bjorck Nielsen, after calling it off at 2 am today after couldn’t locate her.

She was reported to have fallen off the ferry to the sea at 8.30 pm last night, about a kilometre off Dan Kao ferry pier in Koh Chang or half an hour after the ferry left Klong Yai in Laem Ngob district of Trat province at 7.30 pm.

She came with her husband from Bangkok on a holiday on Koh Chang.

Her body was sent to Koh Chang hospital for autopsy today.

Great English....

By the way RIP, at least his family can now give him a fitting funeral.

Brilliant. "Returning from", "on the way to", "....at 8.30 pm last night......half an hour after.....7.30 pm"

RIP anyway.

I'm not English so I can not comment on the English but

She fell into the Sea, Mrs Inge and She came with her husband

I really think it is no good to comment that at least his family ...

Oh well who cares about English Gramma police.

RIP and condoleances for her Family.

ive done 100+ crossing on those ferries... how the <deleted> do you manage to fall off one? the railings are high enough and theres even a chain across the lowered rear ramps

How do we know if was a fall? Husband? coming from bkk for a vacation? I would look deeper....

Apparently a Chinese tourist fell off the ferry the previous night, but was rescued. These were both on centrepoint ferries, not the Thamachat / Sapparot ones.
