Ford air con repairs in Ubon?

Featured Replies

Hi, so last April when we were home our old Ford Ranger air conditioning failed and against my better judgment we took it to a repair shop in Det Udom where they installed a new compressor and re-gassed it, and for the month we were there everything seemed fine.

Now when we aren't there we let our nephew drive it so it doesn't sit for months on end and he informed us that the air con failed about three months after we came back to N.Z. We are coming back again in April again and are going to take it to the Ford Dealer in Ubon to hopefully be repaired properly but I wondered if they provide any kind of warranty for parts and workmanship?

I can't find anything on the Ford website but I would assume there would at least be a warranty on new parts but T.I.T after all smile.png so just wondered if anyone out there knows. Or if anyone knows of a reputable air con repair shop in the Ubon area?

Cheers

I can vouch for a small shop north of Ubon. Between Upark and the ring road. Like the 3rd shop south of Upark. Owners name is Paw. Mid 30's and slightly balding. Did great work on my Highlander with a 6 month warranty. No english though. Tell his in-laws friends from Texas sent you.

I have lived in Ubon since 1994 and during that time have generally found that most car dealerships, including Ford (I have a Ford Ranger) can not repair air-conditioning. They usually take one's vehicle outside to a professional shop.

I have not been to the small shop mentioned above. For repairs and cleaning the air-con, I take my vehicles to Wattana Air on Phalochai Road. Coming from central Ubon, drive past Thung Sri Muang and turn left at the traffic lights next to Ubon Plaza. About 70 m on the left hand side is Wattana Air for vehicles next to the temple Wat Chai Mongkon. Across the road is Wattana Air for houses and buildings.

How is NZ these days? I am also a NZer.

Thanks, will also check this one out as well.

NZ is hot and humid at present, probably worse than Thailand I think. The wife and I can't wait to leave and come back to Ubon for a month. Traffic in Auckland is worse than ever as are the drivers smile.png Will be nice to get away for a break.
