NLA passes Establishment of Administrative Court and Administrative Court Procedure bill into law

BANGKOK, 27 February 2016 (NNT) – The National Legislative Assembly (NLA) voted 158 in favor to pass the bill on the establishment of Administrative Court and Administrative Court procedure into law.

The legislature passed the bill in its third sitting which took place on Friday. The new act will take effect 60 days after it has been published in the royal gazette.

According to the NLA, the law was very sensitive and would require a true understanding from the public before it could be enforced.

The act, containing 9 articles, is a revise of the Act on Establishment of Administrative Court and Administrative Court Procedure, B.E. 2542.

The new act also regulates duties of law enforcers and mandates that administrative officers strictly adhere to orders of the Administrative Court.

Unopposed with 42 absentees such as with the military officers?

Absent or present they still get their MP pay in addition to any active military pay.

The coup has proved to be very profitable to the military, regardless to the financial plight of the country.
