That's a good idea: Maybe I should put that I founded a small US-based NGO that helps disadvantaged persons around the world at the bottom of my page instead that I have a house with a view.

I wonder ..is any public-transports in CR-city? .. Baht-buses or something?

To take advantage of the beautiful countryside it is advisable to have your own transportation but there is some public-transport. We are a small town so there is not the kind of public-transport you might find in a big city. You can walk or ride a bike around the city center or call for a taxi if you need to go a little further.

The meter taxis could probably be hired for half a day or even a full one for an agreed sum.

Going down to their rank at Central Plaza would be the best place to book one and negotiate a price, even an English speaking driver could be stipulated if your Thai skills aren't the best.
