Is it too late to stop the Donald Trump machine?

Charges against Trump would anyway and no doubt spike his favorable polling but only among his specific minority group of VerySure fanatic followers and loyalists in the Republican party voting to date.

There are also a lot of people who see the constant attacks on Trump as confirmation that he is a true anti-establishment candidate...despite being a 1%-er.

Dems criticized the Republican debates as being a circus with nothing about policy. So how do they attack Trump? No, not on policy, but on all the things that made the debates a circus plus silly stuff about him being a fascist or responsible for leftists starting fights at his events.

Then again, how can his opponents go after Trump on policy? Claim to be for allowing illegals to continue to flood over the border? Claim that they want to keep jobs out of the USA? Looking it like that, it is clear why his opponents resort to "Trump is Hitler!". Anything else would result in them getting routed in November.

leftists starting fights at his events.

False or rare if it all accurate or true. The false statement needs concrete documentation that would be thorough, comprehensive, conclusive. Otherwise the false statement would become more than false.

Trump really doesn't like being interrupted. And his followers don't like it either. So many of the protesters at Trump rallies have been met with violence from supporters or security.

This creates a vicious cycle. The more incidents of violence against protesters, the more liberal activists become convinced that Trump is a dangerous demagogue who needs to be stopped.

Thus, the more likely they become to protest — and the more interruptions, the more opportunity for violence.

Here is just a selection of the times when protesters have been physically assaulted by Trump supporters:

http://www.vox.com/2016/3/14/11219256/trump-violent

One protester rushed the state at a rally to denounce trump but he passively and without attempting to fight accepted being taken hold of and hauled off the stage, which is to be accepted and not criticsised per se. The protester was not visibly assaulted on stage by security, nor had he been visibly abused out of sight of the public, nor did the protester claim to have been victimised in any such way. The protester was unarmed and fought no one throughout. On camera, highly visibly as thus documented.

The Trump induced violence which he clearly supports and indeed advocates --and needs-- will not begin to be reversed until some law enforcement authority or authorities in a county, municipality, or a state, bring charges against him formally and in a court of law. Consistent with the Constitution.

Here's a breath of fresh air, and a rational argument for why Trump, the Pretender will be wiped from our memories soon, and the only one sounding Presidential on the Republican side: Kasich.

Kasich on a brokered convention: ‘Everybody chill!’

The convention is an extension of the process of nominating somebody. I was there in ‘76 when [Ronald] Reagan challenged the sitting president [Gerald Ford]. They didn’t like him doing it either. But, you know what? His vision, his message mattered. Listen, nobody’s going to that convention with enough delegates. And at the end, do you know why I’ll get picked? Because I can win in the fall. And secondly, because I have the experience and the record to lead this country.”

"He's the white Kanye West!"

I have been joking with many people already that if he wins he will have to nominate Kanye West for Veep. There is literally no other choice......lol

They are almost the exact same person at this point......

Indeed.

And speaking of veep with Trump on his ticket, the Republican National Convention Rules committee controlled by Convention Chairman Speaker Paul Ryan may make a rule that the candidate with the most delegates but not enough to win on a first ballot must name his veep choice before the convention. Only that candidate, not any of the others.

Talk about stirring shit cause then Republicans everywhere would have to react for or against the veep choice too. Moma-mia.

There is precedent cause in 1976 when Regan unsuccessfully challenged Ford for the R nomination but had more delegates going in to the convention, the Rules Committee tried to do exactly that. The Committee however got narrowly voted down by a last minute chaotic surge of Reagan supporters that swarmed 'em. (Reagan ninjas dropping suddenly from inside the chandeliers and stuff.)

That convention also saw some of the Ford delegates switching to Reagan just before the convention opened. But because the pledged Ford delegates who wanted to switch were committed to Ford on the first ballot, the delegates said they would not vote at all for anyone on the first ballot. The Rules Committee response was that their vote for Ford on the first ballot would be recorded anyway, whether they voted or withheld their vote.

Holy Trump Batman.

It's the old Republican Party Golden Rule...he who has the gold makes the rules. Aka: do unto them before they do unto you.

Cleveland here they come!

Governor John Kasich take cover.

As an outsider looking in....If Trump should get the nomination when he faces up to a real politician in Clinton certainly in policy she will cut him to ribbons, she don't have the razzamatazz like the golden boy what she has is real experience in government and for us watching this circus we all hope the Trump does not make president.

"when he faces up to a real politician in Clinton certainly in policy she will cut him to ribbons"

It was said that when he faced up to the Republican contenders he would be cut to ribbons as well. That didn't work as predicted.

"and for us watching this circus we all hope the Trump does not make president."

Well not all. The majority of Republicans than voted for Trump hope he does make president and after all they are the ones that count.

Everyone asks how do we stop him, but obviously those people are not the majority because if they were Trump would not be in the position he is in now. Winning!

no surprise you are a Trump supporter clap2.gif

I just heard a special news report on US's NPR. It interviewed border guards, Latino immigrants and others. It's doubtful Trump talks to any of the real people dealing directly with the struggles at the border. In Trump's world, it's enough to make sweeping crowd-pleasing announcements, as if one monolithic statement will solve all the problems. Migrants vary. There are criminals, but there are also vulnerable people who are genuinely trying to flee life-threatening scenarios, and all in between. Just one example: it's rare for a girl under 16 in El Salvador to have not been raped several times. America is not expected to fix Latin American problems, but it can extend a hand to try to make some things better. At the US border, there are large detention camps with facilities: showers, cafeterias, gyms, health check-ups. Yes, it's like a prison, but it's still a whole lot better conditions than what most of the people are fleeing from. And yes, there are economic migrants. Indeed, most Americans including Trump/Cruz/Rubio are offspring of economic migrants. I agree there needs to be a tighter border, but each immigrant needs to be assessed for the merits of his/her situation. It's particularly tough when dealing with kids and early teenagers who get to the border.

Another item: Republicans blow a lot of hot air about being the party which will create jobs. Well, there's a job opening right now, at the Supreme Court, and Reps are standing shoulder to shoulder to block filling that vacancy.

It's not too late to stop Trump, AND Trump needs to be stopped.

Okay, we all know that Trump is exploiting America's paranoia towards Muslims. Yes, Trump is against Islam and Muslims. But, there is something else. Trump is also exploiting peoples' paranoia against China.

http://edition.cnn.com/2016/03/16/world/china-donald-trump/index.html

From the above CNN article, Trump has managed to antagonise Beijing.
Trump will declare a highly damaging trade war with China. Basically, Trump will put tariffs on Chinese goods entering into America, and this will cause prices in Walmart to rise. Trump is also an offensive and ridiculous man, Trump used a broken-English accent to mock the negotiating style of Chinese businessmen.

Come on America, do you really want this man to be your president ???

Trump is establishment in many ways. granted, he's America's premier salesman, but even with his great skills at packaging, he still screws up big time, like the display table showing his products, none of which were actually his products, and some of which were defunct failures.

Then again, how can his opponents go after Trump on policy? Claim to be for allowing illegals to continue to flood over the border? Claim that they want to keep jobs out of the USA? Easy: look at Trump's policy statements - analyse them with input from experts (and others with first-hand experience), and you'll see they're as solid as wet pieces of toilet paper. The man's as shallow as a primer coat on golf club, and just as dense.

It seems so, or what do you make out of the massive support he gets?

Looks to me as if the majority of the Americans have been in the closet for decades, and are now coming out of it.

Trump shouts about not wanting migrants coming in, yet at least one of his wives are migrants. He rails against Chinese getting all the unfair advantages, yet he sold an apartment for 5.5 million $$'s, and that Chinese family are migrants. Oh, but he loves those particular Chinese, because they gave him a lot of money. People who don't give him money, like Mexicans, are on his shit list.

I don't think Trump or anyone else would be against well off immigrants, it are the parasites that are the issue, in the US and anywhere else in the world.

Absolutely correct. This "businessman" Trump is anything but (at least to get the nomination and then we'll see). He is talking not only screwing up the relationship with China, but many other allies too in S. America, and Asia with the all-important TPP at risk.

The result for Americans? Higher prices on just about everything. Stupid investment into legacy industries that rightfully should be scrapped. Crappy jobs in newly constructed third-world industries at higher prices and less competitive with world prices.

Trump supporters cannot see what an idiot this guy is, not only for torpedoing world trade, but for tanking US competitiveness as well, and creating token jobs in shitty industries better left to third world countries.

**however, I have a suspicion that he really knows what every good businessman knows, and they he is spouting this crap to the uniformed and disenfranchised to get elected. Once elected, he will likely change his tune. Sleazy tactics indeed, but all is fair in politics.

It's not only protesters that get removed, award winning journalists who ask pertinent questions to the Donald, well, I guess they are "protesters".

"When award-winning Hispanic journalist Jorge Ramos attempted to ask Trump questions about his immigration stance during a press conference in Iowa, the presidential candidate refused to respond because he said Ramos had spoken out of turn. As Ramos attempted to finish his question, security approached him and physically removed him. Right before he was ejected from the conference, Trump told Ramos: “Go back to Univision.” On the way out a Trump supporter confronted the journalist, a U.S. Citizen, and said: “You were very rude. It’s not about you. Get out of my country.” Ramos was eventually allowed back into the press conference to ask his question."

I guess the Trumpster needed some time to formalize an appropriate answer.......

"Khondoker Usama, the student body vice president at Wichita State, who is Muslim, said he and a Hispanic friend,

were filling their vehicle at the gas pumps, when a man in his 20s or 30s started calling a black customer at the convenience store a racial epithet."

“Then suddenly it turned onto us, calling us ‘brown trash, go home. Trump will win," Usama said.

"Then the man approached the students and, according to Usama, said, “You want to live in this country, you better leave.”

“He kept kicking the student who was laying on the ground,” Usama said. “He was kicking him; it was a gut-wrenching scene."

"He saw that I was calling the police and got back on his motorcycle and circled around us and was saying ‘Trump, Trump, Trump, we will make America great again.

You losers will be thrown out of the wall.”

http://www.kansas.com/news/local/crime/article65903602.html

See link for video of the fascist assaulting the two students.

Couldn't get any of the videos to work so let me ask you a question or two.

Did any of the videos have sound or are we reduced to Khondoker's version of what was being proclaimed by that awful biker that apparently violated Khondoker's very own private space?

Were these two bright college students able to copy down the license plate number on the bike as it circled them, as he claims?

If not...why not?

This could be another Duke Lacrosse case all over again. (Notice the absence of a question mark)

Unlike some 12 million others, Trump's wife entered the country legally and speaks English.

She can read the road signs without a translator.

Even Trump supporters can agree that he's the Great Divider. Dem candidates, on the other hand, are seeking to unite Americans.

There are certain protocols at new conferences. One is the journalist raises his hands and, when he is recognized, states his questions.

The following youtube will disprove your ridiculous theory that Jorge Ramos was somehow abused. He interrupted at the beginning of the media conference and refused to sit down and shut up.

He was escorted out by security.

Reduced to clutching at straws now?

Since there is no sound, let me posit the setting.

The lady had just asked the protester..."Is this the way you salute your Community Organizer?"

I'll clear that up for you.

It is a Nazi Salute at a Trump rally.

Right. In this particular photo is an identified Trump supporter saluting one of the protesters that caused the rally to be cancelled. The next night it was one of the protesters giving the salute which caused him to get ejected from a rally. Anyhow, you're supposed to put a link or attribution so people aren't left wondering.

I'll clear that up for you.

It is a Nazi Salute at a Trump rally.

This is from Chicago. As I recall, there was no Trump rally.

Being picky again Chuck?

The photo, taken outside the arena where Donald J. Trumps appearance had just been canceled on Friday in Chicago, circulated far and wide: A woman in a Donald Trump T-shirt, eyes locked with a protester, her right arm raised skyward, her palm faced down.

It did not take a second glance to understand that she was making a Nazi salute. Many took the photo, published by The Chicago Tribune, as a sign of the support Mr. Trump has engendered from extremists. Others surmised that it was maybe a Bernie Sanders supporter in disguise.

<snip>

They said Trump is a second Hitler, Ms. Peterson said. I said do you know what that sign stands for? Do you know who Hitler really was?

I make the point that they are demonstrating something they had no knowledge about, she said. If you want to do it right, you do it right. You dont know what you are doing.
