Lampang Highway Police attend auto repair workshop

LAMPANG, 5 April 2016, (NNT) - Fifteen Lampang Highway Police officers have attended an auto repair workshop ahead of the Songkran holidays.

The workshop, which was being held at the Institute for Skill Development region 10 Lampang, began on Monday and ends today on April 5.

The workshop taught highway police officers to perform basic auto repair, which will prove useful during the long holiday period, when commercial auto repair shops are closed.

Local and foreign tourists, especially those from ASEAN member states, are expected to visit Lampang, some bringing their vehicles with them. With these new-found skills, the officers can provide basic assistance to motorists with car trouble, without causing unnecessary disruptions to the flow of traffic.

The Lampang Highway Police reminded motorists to have their vehicles inspected before embarking on long-distance trips and urged them to exercise the utmost caution when driving on hilly roads in the northern provinces.

Buckle up to. I am sure these words of wisdom will be heeded by all and sundry. After Songkran is over its business as usual.
