No more official corruption.

No more political appointments to public offices.

No more malicious charges and law suits against enemies of the ruling party.

Freedom of the press.

Freedom of speech.

Freedom of assembly.

Peace in the South.

And a fairer deal for the poor.

Just got to figure out how to get those selfish country folk in the north to vote fore it all.

Anyway they were saying in the villages they live in most people want to get on with life and are not bothered if Thaksin comes back or not.

The political unrest of the last 9 months or so is about far wider issues than just Thaksin alone. Boardrules prohibit me from being any less cryptic, but you may guess my meaning. Therefore i do fear that we will have to live with instability for some time to come.

Colpyat, while I fully agree that political unrest of the last 9 months is about far wider issues than just Dr.Thaksin, the coup was about issues directly relating to Dr. Thaksin. Again, forum rules prohibit open discussions on this, but it should be noted. If you disagree with this, seek out things written about the coup from outside of Thailand, where such discussions are not prohibited.
