2011 Cbr150 ok for tall guy? (Longer trips)

Featured Replies

New to the forum a d fairly new to motorbikes in general.

Test drove a 2011 cbr150 today (older model with twin headlights)and am considering buying. It was smaller than I expected but seemed comfortable enough over a 4km round trip. However, I'm 6"4 and would like to hear from other tall folk about their experience driving this bike over longer trips (60-90km). How comfortable was the riding position on your upper body and legs?

Any advice is much appreciated.

I had and rode the very same bike, black one. I found the riding position to be uncomfortable for long rides. Even a 20km trip would hurt my shoulders and back, but not nearly as much as my hips, knees, calf muscles and feet. I upgraded to a CBR 250 R and changed the foot pegs to accomodate my larger height and it did wonders for me. The larger frame and the change of the position of the legs was all it took. The help of a shop in Bangkok gave me online advise. Now I don't ride anymore, so said bike is on the market. By the way, I am 6' 2".

If you are 6'4" the 150 is too small for comfort on long(ish) trips.

Just my opinion.

Goodness, what a sight.. the bike is too small for your frame..
