Pigeon dilemma
On cleaning my front balcony, with my Chinese made Karcher pressure washer, I came across a baby pigeon crouching there, with a bleeding cut on the back of its head, just about breathing. My Mrs, a good Buddhist who goes to the temple every non-booze day, with bowls of rice and food, no smoke, no drink, and she said to throw it in the paddy field opposite our house. My 3 year old said, its OK, its breathing. I put it in the middle of our lawn, where it started to move a bit. Leave it to the local dogs. What would YOU have done? -

Realistically speaking, do you think Trump will last till November?
Trump said he ‘went down’ in helicopter ‘emergency landing’ with former San Francisco mayor, who says it never happened = CNN Published 10:47 PM EDT, Thu August 8, 2024 “I know Willie Brown very well. In fact, I went down in a helicopter with him. We thought maybe this is the end. We were in a helicopter going to a certain location together, and there was an emergency landing,” Trump told reporters gathered at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida for his first news conference since the Democratic ticket was announced. The New York Times reported Thursday that the former president apparently confused Willie Brown with former California Gov. Jerry Brown, with whom he toured wildfire damage by helicopter in November 2018. A spokesperson for Jerry Brown told the Times that “there was no emergency landing and no discussion of Kamala Harris.” California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who also toured the wildfires in 2018 as governor-elect, said of Trump’s account, “I call complete B.S.,” according to the Times. https://edition.cnn.com/2024/08/08/politics/trump-helicopter-story-willie-brown/index.html -

Is a Rabies vax necessary?
Not really, if you have suspicion of contact you would be straight in for it again. You are right that cats are also carriers. Prior to the pandemic we used to have the government people come round and vaccinate all the cats and dogs against rabies. Unfortunately it stopped and never restarted. -

I've never seen Trump laugh except..
I think Trump has a quiet chuckle to himself when he sees the IDF shooting unarmed children and women. He thinks it is hysterical. -

Government to Crack Down on Low-Quality Chinese Imports
Temu does have super low prices. I looked after the super bowl ad but never bought anything. Prices so low shipped I thought it can't be real . Some might be crap but it shows you how much profit American companies have been making for their made in China products these last 25 years. -

Mass Arrests Follow Violent Far-Right Demonstrations Across the UK
You are probably too far down the rabbit hole with the Keir Starmer love-in stuff you posted, but here is a piece from the Telegraph that depicts accurately how Keir Starmer reacted to the BLM riots. It's a paywall link but the screenshot covers the salient points. Keir Starmer by peddling misinformation and labelling the protesters as "far right" (gay bingo attendees are not "far right" they are probably Labour voters) and refusing to consider that in the wake of 3 little girls being murdered by a 2nd generation immigrant people would be angry, he actually incited more violence. If he had been more conciliatory with his words it would no doubt have had a different outcome. Labour have never governed in a time of widespread social media and are not used to the fact they cannot control the narrative and the truth can still be posted (for now) on social media, which is probably why they are looking for any excuse to take that away. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/columnists/2024/08/08/keir-starmer-elon-musk-two-tier-far-right-riots/ -
