Rayong to organize a festival to celebrate for HM the King

The province of Rayong will organize a festival to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne. The festival will be held at the end of this year.

Mr. Sunthorn Rattanavraha, the Deputy Governor of Rayong, said the event will be jointly organized by the provincial authority and the Office of National Buddhism. On December 1st, 2006 at 15:00 hours, 2549 Buddhist monks from the four eastern provinces of Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi, and Trat will join this festival along with 5,000 people who would be wearing yellow shirts to honour His Majesty the King.

In addition, the festival is being closely supported by Aromatics (Thailand) Company Limited. The company would like to invite officials from government agencies, local administrative organizations, state enterprises, private companies, as well as Buddhists and members of the public to participate in this festival.
