It's the Titanium+ version with the 20" - I'm wondering how much bigger I can go without any modifications? Has anyone changed their standard alloys for bigger ones? Not only is on-road stiffness and dynamics a consideration but also off-road use where the larger rims are more likely to be damaged or fail. giddyup Posted June 17, 2016 Share Posted June 17, 2016 I wanted to upgrade to larger wheels on my new (18 months ago) Triton, but in the end decided against it. No one wanted to take my Mitsu alloy wheels and tyres as a trade-in, so I would have had to try and sell them privately, so basically a lot of extra expense, and a harsher ride, just to "improve" the looks. notamember Posted October 22, 2016 Share Posted October 22, 2016 they will not fit Toyota, different stud spacing its been my experience most owners trade them in with a wheel/tyre dealer when they replace them with an after-market wheel so whilst this may not be the ideal place to seek them out under those circumstances , but you never know...... notamember Posted October 27, 2016 Share Posted October 27, 2016 beauty is in the eye of the beholder, i had 24 ' on a fortuner , had to trim everything to make it happen, looked great, drove crap bump steered all over the road eventually i bought a set of stock 18 TRD wheels, it was like a limo by comparison now, lesson learned, i upsize my wheels using stock parts from better equipped vehicles, that way they fit as they should, and i still keep the ride comfort that Ford spent millions on in R & D to get it right, rather than some spotty faced kid in a wheel shop telling me, be ok, be dee mak mak .. i had a range rover in UK i loved it in between long spells in the dealership being fixed ugly wheel arch extensions with exposed Allan key studs? why would anyone do that?
