PATTAYA: At 2am on the morning of June 25 Mr Chat Aksorndee, a forty-six year old Go Go Bar manager, was about to deposit his evenings takings into a local ATM machine at the SCB Bank on Beach Road, South Pattaya, when he noticed 7000 baht in cash hanging out of the dispensing tray.

Mr Chat, a good citizen, decided to take the money to the police station where he handed it in to Police Captain Putiphong Chernchom in case the owner should call in to report it missing.

Captain Chernchom has made a report and will try to find the person who left the cash behind.

I'm sure they will review all the ATM vdo and assess exactly who could be so stupid to leave their money sticking out of the machine. They will hunt the man down so he can get his money.

"Mr Chat, a good citizen, decided to take the money to the police station where he handed it in to Police Captain Putiphong Chernchom"

... whereupon PC Chernchom promptly headed back to said go-go bar to redistribute free funds to its 'poor & exploited' staff. tongue.png

Nice Man, but should have left only his contact details with the Cops, not the Cash.

That's the last anyone will see of that 7,000 baht including the original owner or the good Mr Chat. It will be swallowed up in police expenses searching for the owner.

Good advertisement for his business. Only costed 7000baht.

Yes great advertising do you know the exact location of "a go go bar" in Pattaya. Seems like an honest place , could be worth a visit.

2 AM ATM deposit ?

7,000 baht hanging out the dispensing tray ?

takes 7,000 to Police station ?

All doubtful !!

Wouldn't be the first time an ATM has taken so long to dispense that the customer thought it wasn't going to & left.

Nope.

You'll find that gentleman most evenings in Classroom next to Boystown.

Had adrink with him a few occasions & this does not surprise me one little bit

Another one of these fake stories?

Wasn't it a jet ski owner found a passport a week or two ago or am I getting mixed up with a Taxi driver that found some money ? Wish I could find 7000B right now, my pension will have lost 2000B next week.

Not sure this would make the news in other countries

Well done Mr Chat, although a police station would not have been my first choice.

He must be rich to be able to drink there - draught beer twice the price of most other Go-Go bars + 'dancers' who never notice punters as they are too busy admiring their reflections.

He works there but I agree the dancers aren't up to much & most of the time they look as though they are just queuing up for a bus

I would go to the branch instead and show them the money and ask them to check the cctv footage before even considering handing it over to the police.
