Mag wheels Repair Cost's Bangkok Pattaya

Featured Replies

Three of my Mag wheels were in need of repair refurbishment, called into a number of tyre, wheel shops in Pattaya, quoted 1200 Baht per wheel rim, not the whole wheel, would need to leave the said wheels and wait 3 days.

As I was in Bang Phili Bangkok Tuesday, called into a tyre wheel shop, who pointed me way to a wheel repair shop, he quoted me 300 Baht per wheel, for the same repair, said it would take 1 hour to do the 3 as he was busy.

An excellent job was done.

Pays to shop around.

And the name, address of the cheaper repair shop ? ?

Mag or alloy...?

Must be Alloy or there would have been a large firelaugh.png

In Pattaya they don't refurbish the wheels by them self. They take it of and send it to Chonburi. They have to take of the wheels, take of the tires of the rims and finally have to fit it on again and balance the tires, when the refurbished wheel come back. Time gasoline, and transportation to Chonburi or BKK cost money too. Therefore the price is different. I understand the Locals. There at least 3 people involved to do that kind of job. No one works for free.

Of course if you drive the car to BKK by your self, it will be cheaper, but waist money for gasoline motorway and time, i guess the whole day, will be gone. So in the end of the day, it isn't really cheaper.

Hi All, they are Mag wheels.

At the shop the wheels were taken off the car, and then the tyres, wheels repaired, balanced, then put back on the car.

As we were going to Bangkok that day, no extra travel expense was incurred, it was by chance we came across this workshop, it was not our intention to have this work carried out that day. This information was posted for the benefit of the members.

The post is of minimal benefit when the name and contact information for the shop isn't provided.

Posts can name businesses if the product or service was a positive experience. Thailand's libel and defamation laws preclude posting the names of a business that has given a negative or unsatisfactory experience. From your op, it seems you were happy with the service given by the shop in Bangkok.

First it was Bang Phili then Bang Phi when it is in Bang Phli. facepalm.gif

My 12 year old Ford Ranger came with factory alloy wheels, very satisfactory. Never had anything done to the wheels other than normal tire replacement, change/balance, now almost 140k km. Any reason to do wheel repairs other than some accident involving wheel deformation?
