As header suggests if my partner rings from Thailand using True Sim cheap rate prefix, does the number show on the receiving Mobile or Landline or "no number" or "number unknown" show up.??

Thanks...

it is not guaranteed that it will show the correct number. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't.

This is because the cheap prefix is routed through a cheaper VoIP provider that, at this price, does not guarantee showing the number to the phone dialled.

Might well be that the callers number is not shown but "some" number or none.

Similar happens when you are called in Thailand from Europe via some calling cards.

Some Bangkok number shown (02 ...).

Highly unlikely the correct number will be displayed. This is due to the routing of the calls between countries and is normal.

For any system which can display calling party ID, and for calls which utilize VoIP for LD transport only, the CPID ultimately "delivered" is usually a local trunk port on the VoIP gateway situated in the terminating (or nearby) country/city.

Am sure you're correct but is that yes or no.....??

Your TrueMove H number will not be displayed. But some other number will be displayed. What that number is exactly, and what it might mean to the called party is open for interpretation.

Maybe if you just said what you wanted, or did not want, we could be more helpful?

If you want to mask your number just get a calling card, cheap as 00600 and free local access. Or do you want to pass your CPID?
