LINE question- how did this happen

Featured Replies

Hi All,

So I am a little confused about the LINE app,

I have a friend on there (female) who gets jealous over me talking to other women, she is only a friend but shes a bit fiesty and likes me.. blah blah, anyway to cut a long story short, I was chatting to her today, and she sent me a screenshot of another friend (also a female) line wall. What I wondered is how she has access to my friends list, and how she knows I am friends with her? she will go onto now messaging her loads of abuse probably not that I care as she is just a friend, but it seems wierd... did she hack me? cheers

Unfriend her.

Just because you're "friends" with a woman on social media doesn't necessarily mean you've slept with her.

Making a woman seething with jealousy increases your attractiveness. On the other hand, jealous women are often needy types and nag a lot. Not worth the hassle for you, in my opinion.

Either 1. She knows your other friend, or 2. you did a group chat at some stage

"The other friend" has liked one of your profile updates or something, your first friend can see this and the second friends wall. Simple as that, try it yourself.

I second that.

Just get rid of nagging people - they will make your life miserable. And it will serve as a lesson for her too.

If the OP doesn't want to get "bobbited", drop her immediately. She is just a friend and behaves like a nagging and jealous wife? Wait till the honeymoon is over, bud! gigglem.gif

Get rid of her. Who needs the aggravation! Think about it.

it is up to you to draw the line

LINE is very "leaky".

You can increase privacy a bit...

Settings, Timeline, untick Allow New Friends, manage existing Friends under Privacy Settings, make all Hidden.

Settings, Friends, untick Auto Add Friends, untick Allow Others to Add

Settings, Chats & Voice Calls, enable "Letter Sealing".

Be careful. Many rumors re: the Thai Authorities having cracked/hacked LINE.

Thanks all... they do not know each other 100% but neither I am I cheating on either of them I just found it kind of spooky, anyway thanks for the replies all... I see lines privacy is a bit lacking, especially when it starts auto adding people in your phone book, I have locked it all down now so no one can auto add etc.

You was spot on, I posted a picture up and one friend liked it with a heart face, and thus meant my other female friend went crazy, kinda cut to be honest hah,

Cheers all
