VW Passatt Parts - where to buy here ?

Featured Replies

Hi all, I recently bought a 2001 2.3 v5 Passatt, looks great inside and out with just a few minor bits needing attn but I was horrified when my local mechanic (who is great with German cars and mainly works on Mercedes) stripped the engine, cooling system etc. and announced the parts needed will cost over 135k!

He seems honest and capable enough and has told me to source the parts myself if I can.  I've spent many hours online trying but without luck so far.

Any one know a good supplier here? (preferably where I can order online).

Googled this for supplier in Thailand.

Many more listed.

This seller is usa based...I would imagine shipping of any substantial parts would be quite expensive. Also, there's the import/excise tax on inported car parts to factor in.

There is an official VW importer in Bangkok. ..maybe ask them if they can point you to a source.

I know of a guy in North Park (Nonthaburi) who only works on Audi and VW (well specialises) ... he is a possibility ... PM me for his phone number if you like ... Thai speaking only unfortunately.

Thanks Jas, PM sent already, thanks.

Thanks also to Kwasaki and OMG for your input...I have already spent many hours searching online and most of them (including the one above) don't even list my Passatt model 2.3 v5 .
