NAKHON SAWAN: -- The sister of alleged fraudster "Lady Kai" has been arrested and could soon face Lese Majeste charges.

Kamonthat Thanathornkositjin - commonly known as "Kim Eng" - was detained on Sunday in Nakorn Sawan on charges of a three million baht fraud, reported Sanook.

Police are investigating claims that she falsified documents and that donations to the Royal Family that she said she was going to make on behalf of others were never made.

It is claimed that she kept the expensive items for herself.

Twenty Crime Suppression and technology police raided her property in Lat Prao Soi 60 this morning uncovering a wealth of evidence of expensive items and various documents.

Police found classic "benjarong" ceramics, ivory swords and pottery.

The documents uncovered will be examined to see if they were forged while the providence of the expensive items is being looked into.

Kim Eng could face a warrant for lese majeste within the next two or three days, it was reported.

Police said she had been detained in custody but otherwise remained tight lipped.

The Lady Kai case has captivated the nation. Her real name is Montha Yokratanakun, 58 and she has been charged with lese majeste, fraud and making malicious claims.

The case was blown wide open some months ago when a 19 year old student claimed that her family suffered at the hands of Montha who is currently in jail in Bangkok awaiting trial.

Is LM the only thing, that get's you arrested and sentenced in Thailand, nowadays?

Sadly no,  clicking like on FB is a crime in certain situations,  typing " ja"  to a privet message on FB, criticizing the junta and PM, having a red bowl, handing out flowers to the wrong people, reading a particular book, talking politics with 5 or more people,,, taking mountain mushrooms to eat,  the list goes' on....   But hey look on the bright side,, refusing to do your duty in national security by not responding to people being threatened beaten and blocked to vote, not stopping groups invading building's and forcing workers out, usurping an elected government and tearing up the constitution seems to be A ok.

Pretty well guaranteed conviction - if you find 'em not guilty someone will probably report you for it yourself.

" The documents uncovered will be examined to see if they were forged while the providence of the expensive items is being looked into. " I think they mean 'provenance' but then again, maybe divine guidance is what they need (not just in this case either)

...this is 'hi-so'...one way or another.....

...don't need any redeeming qualities....just have to pretend and get their way....

...and still...not sure they will be charged with anything in the end.....

....how does that work....???

...not for 'us' to know...

...pity the foreigners rotting in these jails...who never stood a chance....
