Watching ilikehd outside Thailand

Featured Replies

I'm off doing some work overseas next week and was wondering will my ilikehd work overseas, or will I have to try connecting via a thai vpn (is there such a service?)?

Anybody successfully used ilikehd overseas and how?

what is ilikehd? streaming service? do you need a thai IP address to log into it?

Here's the email response I just received from ilikehd support:

"We have limited international bandwidth so it *may* work but we can't guarantee results. Be sure to use either server "ISP A" or "ISP Europe", these should work the best."

So my question remains the same: Anybody successfully used ilikehd overseas and how?

oh it's actually a thai service? i'd be surprised if it worked overseas then. can you not just use alternative streams when you're travelling?

Stevie, I'd also be surprised if it works outside Thailand connecting within a non-Thai isp (unless possible to connect with a Thai isp via a VPN). I'm hoping that somebody may have been down this route already and can offer me advice or I guess I'll be the guinea pig reporting back my experience.

PS. Not sure if you are in Thailand, but I'd recommend ilikehd to you for watching sport or uk TV (get the uk basic package not the more expensive uk package)...it's very cheap and easy to use on phones. Keeps me from getting bored when the wife or kids are monopolizing the TV with Thai soaps or crap cartoons.

I have watched  it here in the UK...no probs. The free Thai channels work fine...I watched  our pre season games via  Chelsea tv ...streamed fine...until I ran out of points.

Tried ilikehd yesterday overseas and yes it does work ok (using Server A), buffers a bit more than in Thailand but watchable.

Why would anyone want to watch IlikeHD overseas when there are much better streaming IPTV services that cost less or free?

Use server A - D in Thailand, server Asia in ....Asia, and server Europe in...yes Europe. Works fine.

What's the point in using ilikehd outside Thailand when other global services with same channels are available for less?

Less than 10 quid a month, can't find anything cheaper in the UK for that,  the HD Sky Sports channels are worth that alone , works fine without Thai vpn btw

Such as?

My mate has been using ilikeHD in the UK since the start of the football season without any problems. He set up his account using a spare Thai sim that I had to get the initial OTP needed. I buy 250 baht of True money every month, email him the code and that buys him the sports channels required for his football. He tells me there's no buffering via his laptop but if he uses it on his Android box it does buffer occasionally. This, he's decided, is because, via the app, he can't choose which server to use.

Sportmania on the android box it's 4 quid a month and shows absolutely everything,as it's a subscription service they have their own servers meaning no buffering or interruptions.
