I,ve just bought a new Nissan Almera and I enquired about a small pot of black touch up paint for stone chips etc. only to be told "no have" try BigC or motor store shop" anyone have any idea where in Pattaya I can obtain some please?

Hi, you could go to a shop that mixes paint with your car, they will mix a half liter for around 500 Baht, also buy some thinner, then go to a decorators or artist shop and buy a small touch up brush.

I would think touch up paint is an 'order-able' item at the main dealers if they can be bothered.

Toyota gave me a small tin with my new purchase...:giggle:

I tried to buy some touch up paint from the Toyota dealership where I purchased my car and was told that they don't stock it, and they didn't offer to order it. They just said "bring it to us and we will do it". Three years on I have never found the correct touch up paint for my car anywhere, simply because it's not a popular colour.
I suppose it serves me right for not buying black, white or silver.....

In my 2014 Almera a small tin of white touch up was in the glovebox........with this new one nothing  so I enquired at the dealership through the sales guy he said "no have" when I go and get my white reg plate I will send the TGF to the spares counter and ask them if they can order one.

If you've got a white vehicle in Thailand, you're in luck.   It's called Liquid Paper, and you can buy it at any 7-11.   No kidding.  The stuff smells and acts like any small vial of official touch up paint I've ever used.  It's even durable.

I've covered a half-dozen small nicks with it, and you can't tell by the naked eye more than a half-meter away.  So far, my 69 baht purchase has saved me thousands of baht in professional touch-up work (per quotes from Toyota).

Now, that I've let the cat out of the bag, get the jump on the spike in sales, and buy stock in the Newell Rubbermaid Company (mfg. of LP).

Doesnt Touch Up offend the P.C Pansies Yet. Blemish Cover is what they prefer.:stoner:

Your OEM color is on the official number plate on your left door jamb (or it was on my Honda City). You may need some help decoding it.

Neither Pattaya dealer was any help.

Order from here. http://www.automotivetouchup.com/touch-up-paint/

They also sell a little applicator tool that is much better than cotton swabs.

Sadly it does not list the Nissan Almera

Its Pulsar or Sylph , same ,same, in other countries.

Nope not listed under 2016 Nissan models, nor is the March which would be the same

But there is Totally no need here to mess about here. Just take off your filler cover for an example to get a match, go any nearby Motor Factors. They do a perfect match with their Magic Analyzer Machine for a few Bht. Even small Towns have such Shops.

Every ride has a colour code usually printed on the info plate under the hood. This code will reveal the mixing tints to arrive at the correct colour....

Can anyone recommend a place in the Pattaya/Jomtien area with a magic colour machine who can/will  put the paint into a spray can ?  ( for a larger "touch up" area )

Ha ha yes she has been...but its not her fault   looks like  one side of the car has had accident repair sometime previously

where lots of body filler has been used  water has got in between metal and body filler causing   the filler to flake off in quite large slabs, where it hasn't fallen off  its trapping water causing rust...I cleaned back to metal and sprayed with grey primer

to stop further rust  but Mrs johng doesn't like the "rat car" look  very much at all !!!
