Nong Bua Udon Thani

Featured Replies

Hi folks.

I am looking for a house to rent in Udon Thani late next year.

I am confused as to where exactly is Nong Bua, Udon Thani?

Searching for houses, as far as I can tell, Nong Bua is the district to the north of the water authority, and takes in Los Amigos and Tbar.  Yet some of the houses show a map many kilos to the East of Udon Thani, some show within the ring road to the North of the main city.

Does any Udon resident know exactly how many Nong Bua's there are?

Thanks for clearing the point.  I am trying to find a house not too far from Los Amigos and Tbar (Nong Bua or not)

Los Amigos and Tbar is in Rom yen 3 village, plenty of houses to rent around Rom Yen 3.

You answered your question

This "Los Amigos" bar is in the subdistrict ("tambon") Nong Bua within the city limits of Udon Thani.

"Nong Bua" is indeed a very frequent name.

"nong" is one of the most used part of village names, means "swamp" or so.

E.g. the neighboring province to the south of Udon Thani is Nong Bua Lamphu.

I have about half a dozen "ban nong ..." within the district.

"bua" means lotus (flower).

This map from tripadvisor shows the supposed location of Los Amigos just out of the north eastern part of the ringroad.
