Thought some old-timers would enjoy this comparison of some bikes from the 70's.  I was a Suzuki mechanic for a bit back than.  Obviously they were "big bikes", not Thai fare.

Loved my KH250. It was a sweet ride! Put a colour coded fairing on it so I thought I was the 'dogs nuts' then.

Actually the old timers (us old timers) will probably find them more comfortable than modern bikes, instead of having your ankles right up your armpits to ride and beer-gut sitting on the tank.

If you have gained a few kilos over the years all that braking weight on your wrists is not good either.

RD350 followed by the (not as good) RD400 (aged 17-18) for me. Sold for my first "big" bike, an XS 650. Obviously a "Yamaha Man" in my youth...

Have you been looking in my window 555.

Arh the good old days.  The 80s and 90s were the best years of my life.  Thailand and motorbikes. Doesn't get any better 555.

My first big bike was a 2nd hand SR500 in the 80s so I am not as old as some of you guys here but nevertheless an old timer now, he-he.

Rode with my buddies from Denmark to Spain and back on my SR500, well a buddy on a Suzuki GT750 water-buffalo took the train home from Southern France after his engine failed big time in dramatic fashion going full throttle.

Ahh, the best bike touring trip I ever did, we were students and was generally what you can call poor so was often sleeping it rough but we didn't care and enjoyed every second of it.

I was keen on my '78 GL1000 (Goldwing) back in the day when I had to buy the faring separate. I was shocked to discover that the early wings actually had accommodations for a "kick Starter" (the lever was hidden on the right (?) side of the faux tank)... :shock1:

Also throw in my '75 CB750, and CB900 custom.

My last bike Yamaha Venture 1200 (see picture)
