You use the word attack a little too liberally. There was no violence and we don't even really know if there was any screaming.

I did say verbally attack and reporting supports that.

"A man was kicked off an airline flight from New York after allegedly accosting Ivanka Trump."

"Professor Matthew Lasner had tweeted earlier that his husband, Dan Goldstein, was chasing the couple down in the terminal "to harass them."

"An eyewitness told TMZ that Mr Goldstein was “screaming” at Ms Trump, saying “why is she on our flight? She should be flying private.”

Dudes lucky he's not in bracelets somewhere.

We've been over all of this before.
There are conflicting reports.

If there was screaming, then the ejection is more justified.

If there wasn't, it's more questionable, especially considering Ivanka is reported as expressing it wasn't a big deal.

The tweet is irrelevant. People B.S. on tweets. Look at trump.

Indeed. Can someone get arrested for being a PC lout?

If there was ever a place that it could happen, it would be onboard an airplane in the United States freaking out because someone you don't like is on the plane with you.

Not like its gonna be all that hard to confirm with a huge amount of witnesses packed into an airplane just a couple days before christmas. Its like a worst case scenario for the guy.

Saw phone footage from inside the aircraft, the guy got kind of loud. I think the consideration was, if it was going to escalate or not.

It was definite that he was emotionally charged. Kind of loud vs. screaming is subjective. Once in my life I moved from a big city to a small town and was calling around to find apartments. The people answering seemed put off. I was advised I need to talk slower. It worked. That's why there are different reports. People have different filters. Screaming to some is pretty normal speech to others.

Reports are that Ivanka didn't feel really threatened and of course she wasn't under any kind of real threat. She's a New Yorker.

BTW, I have never said and still don't say that the airline's decision was not defensible. They went with perhaps excessive caution.

It was defensible to boot them, but that doesn't mean it would have really been a problem if they weren't booted. What's not defensible is donald trump as president. That's a living NIGHTMARE.

What is ALSO not defensible, even if this man did make a mistake with poor manners and tactics on an airplane, is for deplorable type trumpists to now viciously attack him and his husband based on their sexual orientation and Jewish ethnoreligious identity. But that is indeed what's happening. Who's surprised? U.S. politics is now so extremely toxic, and what used to be off limits, is now basically front and center.

Well, it was weird that they were flying coach anyway. I reckon it's the last time.

Look Ivanka is used to getting friction in New York about her Daddy. Most New Yorkers are very much ANTI-trump and New Yorkers aren't famous for holding back their opinions.

Are you from New York ?

Yep, enough said, you just proved you're a homophobic bigot and not worth listening to.

But, I am in the majority ?

But not th majority. The majority support marriage equality and LGBT rights.

Public opinion in the United States shows majority support for the legal recognition of same-sex marriage. This support has remained above 50% consistently in opinion polls since 2010,[1] after having increased steadily for more than a decade

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_opinion_of_same-sex_marriage_in_the_United_States

You may remain on the wrong side of history as a self declared bigot but eventually your hate speech will have consequences. I look forward to the day that such people are muzzled and have to face consequences for such crap.

Disagree.

The majority think it's weird.

Let's say that it wasn't the president elects daughter and the moron causing the problem was not gay. Would you still think the comments were OK? I think you are paranoid.

Got it. Honest debate about issues & stereotypes not allowed.

Looks like you made the TVF all star team (aka JT's ignore list) in record time. It's surprising that when JT opens up TVF it isn't just one big blank page, as everybody gets on his ignore list sooner or later.

The lack of decorum and class shown by these people towards Ivanka Trump exhibit exactly who are the real 'deplorables'.

Bringing up decorum and class while using Trump's pic as an avatar.

I believe he was already on that list before, so not a major transition there.

She not only converted, she's very Orthodox religious now.

Apparently Ivanka and Jared are seeking a synagogue in the Washington, D.C. area. The trouble for them is that even among Orthodox Jews in D.C., the political slant there is VERY anti-trump.

It's kind of funny that this airplane kerfuffle was Jews vs. Jews.
They'll be seeing more of that in D.C.

I think you will have a hard time finding conservatives behaving like the couple in the OP.

I think you will easily find liberal groups behaving like the couple in the OP.

Doubt it, I've seen them Trump rally vid's and interviews with people attending them. And that's without extrapolating from how certain posters comment on this forum. Unlike yourself, not into making conduct and manners a partisan generalization.

Do you see Trump as an epitome of decorum and class?

What does his avatar have to do with a uncalled for verbal attack on Trump's daughter and her children in public?

Trump is our President.

This was towards Ivanka & her husband with her 3 children in tow, days before christmas, on a flight, not Trump.

Try and be neutral all you want, but the fact remains conservatives generally don't behave like that, and liberals generally do.

No I don't but this isn't about Trump now is it?

I wasn't condoning the harassment in any way, just doubting that this could be generally attributed to people based on political views. If you wish to ignore evidence to the contrary - that's your choice.

I think you both feign ignorance with regard to the Trump reference. Airing indignation over "decorum and class", or asserting these are tied with political view are pretty amusing considering the next president's own obvious lack of either decorum and class.

You'd have to be pretty hard core Trump supporters to claim otherwise, but seeing as you're both not-really-fans etc, thought it would be within the acceptable capacity of criticism. Guess I was overly optimistic.

Thx.

At the end of the day every "main actor" should be a slave of a minority.

Clintons have not converted, but their background....
