My immediate and enduring reaction to this article: Too much information.

I kept reading on for some redeeming punchline in the article, which never came.

Well, I take that back. At least I now have an operator's manual for my next stint in a Thai pokey, complete with a vocabulary lesson.

Always looking for that silver lining.

This guy was housed in a room with 50 other inmates. Very doubtful. 

Another reason to stay away from Thai prisons .  

With all those men in the same room it would be hard to know who is coming and who is going.

Now I understand the meaning of being tossed in a cell .

No doubt at all, there is no other option in the Remand  Prison (unless he got solitary, which no one wouldn't want voluntarily).

Chose the click-bait. Spent two minutes minutes mildly amused at the interview. Passed another minute pondering how low the bar for righteous indignation appears to be these days.  Went on with life morally unscathed.

Tried suggesting a bit of "phee phaa hom" to the g/f. Now she wants to sleep on the sofa.

Amazing what Thais will believe isn't it? I was once told the Shinawatras were so rich they didn't need to be corrupt. As for a shortage of decent people running for politics, you haven't noticed it?
