What country? The Thai one is in English too. It can be used in the UK and Australia.

As of 02/04/2561 Chiang Mai the following was my experience. You may have a different experience depending on which office you go to,the date or time. or the official processing your DL application. Requirements can be fluid.

1. Passport and copies of face page,visa page,last entry date page and TM 6.

2. Residency certificate. ( or work permit).

3. Medical certificate.

4. Home country license with copies front and reverse.Western English speaking nation.

5. International Driving Permit with copies of face page signed.

6.Foreign National information Form with recent photo.

7.Completed DL application. Two recent photos.

8. Color blind test,peripheral vision test,reflex test ( time to move foot off accelerator and brake).

9. Fifty question written test.

10. Fee.

11. Had photo taken and received temporary two year license for automobile..

 

 

I dressed with long pants and a pressed dress shirt after hearing of someone almost refused when arriving in short pants.

I dressed neatly with a pressed dress shirt and long pants. When I picked up my application last week a fellow resembling an aging hippy with shoulder length hair bandana wrapped arround his head and very short length short pants and a very dirty Hard Rock Cafe tee shirt was turned away. 

 

Do not fill out a downloaded copy of DL application. Official one required. Thickness of paper I suspect.
