CityNews – The body of a 13 year old boy who went missing during a scout camp has been found in a pond, suspected to have drowned.

Sad, but unfortunately only one of the 7 children who drown each day in Thailand.

The six others didn't make it to the news.

They are staggering stats, really sad and unnecessary. However being a surfer and a swimmer I know how fast it can happen.  It's very sad.

One of the most basic forms of safety for children is to teach them to swim when they're young - even if they don't enjoy it recreationally, they'll at least have a chance if they're unexpectedly dumped into the water.
