Sure, it was actually August 2011, ancient history :)

Possibly the links don't work properly on the mobile App :(

How many are you looking at carlyai and roughly what cost.

Low value small items sent by post invariably attract no duty / tax.

Bigger stuff sent by courier will attract VAT and duty (no idea what the duty would be, guess 15%) on the CIF (Cost Insurance Freight) value.

The pukka items are almost certainly available here, I've just never seen/looked-for them.

Eat a lot of tuna fish and use the cans to make your own or buy some 3" pvc and cut rings !

I was going to make my own. A couple of my sons in Aus are in the construction industry and both said don't make your own as it would weaken the integrity of the concrete as the poured cement should be able to flow into the saddle, like in the bought plastic ones, and the make- your-own donut shaped cement saddles would not bond with the new poured cement, therefore creating weak points.

So I did some research on the www and seems the boys may be correct.

As I'm building a swimming pool, I thought I should try and get everything as correct as possible.

I'll probably need about 600 saddles.

The 3" PVC might be OK.

My pool planning was going sweet with some good advisors, until I bought some pool structural design drawings, then I started to worry.?

Found the saddles in Thailand. Look hard enough and you will find. I also couldn't believe that you can't get them in Thailand.

They are called 'luk buun plastic' in Thai. I know bearings are called 'luk buun' ...anyway typing in the Thai name in Thai gave Google enough info.

They only sell in big lots like 10000, unless you can beg nicely.

Good find - I'll bet that armed with that info your local building supplier will be able to obtain.
