Long time former mayor  Itthipol Khunploem's father, Somchai Khunploem was recently pardoned from his murder sentence. The new mayor was a top cop in his old fiefdom. This could indicate the Godfather is back in town. Just wild guessing but it wouldn't surprise me. Somchai's release from prison could mean a period of power struggles are upon us.
