Mitsubishi Mirage. Pay with debit card.

Featured Replies

I am going to buy a Mitsubishi Mirage when I go to Thailand next month, I have the money in my account, I don't want to take £12000 in cash to Thailand for obvious reasons. The Mitsubishi dealer wanted 3% on top of the price, I asked why as it's not a credit card, is this normal practice in the motor trade in Thailand?

The dealer is paying about 3℅ in fees to his bank, he is simply charging you for that.
Don't like it, pay by other means or change dealer.

If you don't have a thai bank a/c open one, transfer the money and pay by cashier cheque or, if you trust them, can you transfer the money direct to the Mitsubishi's bank account.

BTW just bought my tgf a Mirage, top model. We are very pleased with it, ideal for driving around Pattaya.

Change of plan, I am going to put 25% down and pay over 5 years, only £140 per month. Going to build a driveway to the house with the other funds. Thanks for all your comments!

what model you going for

Be careful about getting finance for the car. I initially thought about doing that but they keep changing the "deal" adding extra costs not mentioned up front, like a 30,000 baht life insurance payment. In the end i just paid cash to avoid any hassle.

I got the top model worth the extra i think for the alloy wheels, navigation, auto a/c etc.

we are looking at the attrage, my wife doesn't like the 'short arse' cars. its a choice between the honda brio amaze and the attrage ( we have a 11 year old honda city)  its going to be a 2nd car for short trips, as we now have a triton as the long distance vehicle

I had an attrage before, very nice car with a BIG boot, not short arse !! Better than the Brio IMO. Don't go for the Almera terrible.
