Cha-Am police chief transferred to inactive post

Cha-Am Police Station superintendent Colonel Pakin Sivamethakul was transferred to an inactive post with effect from Friday but national police chief Pol General Chakthip Chaijinda said it had nothing to do with the fatal attack last month in a dormitory in Phetchaburi province that left one student dead and two others wounded.

 

Chakthip said Pakin was transferred to assist the Provincial Police Region 7 operation centre. He affirmed that police would ensure justice to all sides in the student attack case.

Question: Was it an inactive post, or is everybody that supports and assists Provincial Police Region 7 operation centre inactive?
Can´t happen much in that region!

Should have transferred him to deep south regions and bust him down to the ranks!  "Inactive posts" are just money sapping posts which the poor Thai citizens have to pay for.

Is he the father to one of the students ? I believe they said in the news  several of the students had influential parents.
