Cha-Am Police Station superintendent Colonel Pakin Sivamethakul was transferred to an inactive post with effect from Friday but national police chief Pol General Chakthip Chaijinda said it had nothing to do with the fatal attack last month in a dormitory in Phetchaburi province that left one student dead and two others wounded.

Question: Was it an inactive post, or is everybody that supports and assists Provincial Police Region 7 operation centre inactive?

How big is the Department of Inactive Posts?

Bigger than the active one !

The Japanese call it a "Window Seat." You know, since you're not doing anything anyway, you might as well just sit and look out the window.

Should have transferred him to deep south regions and bust him down to the ranks!  "Inactive posts" are just money sapping posts which the poor Thai citizens have to pay for.

"Hi dad, I'm home."

"What did you do tonight, son?"

"I stabbed a totally innocent person in the brain with a screwdriver."

"Again?"
