Ouch! Like trying to get to Soi 13 from the Avenue shopping center in Patts. First thing to do now is make that pattaya beach road a Max 30 km zone and ban it for busses and trucks.install max 30 km signs, fine speeders and busses then remove parked vehiclesThen ban all parking on beach road for bikes and cars.then widen pavements both sides.make it a walking town.then sport fields parks sit areas? Are you sure those "bus stops" are for the baht bus or for the big busses full of Chinese tourists

Some now have notices inside asking passengers to get on and off at them. A lot have been newly painted or re-painted.

The city fathers (or police, or army) have finally realized that to control the baht buses, they need to re-educate the passengers instead of beating up on the baht bus drivers. Baht bus drivers will still stop for a request pickup but they will be checking that there's no plod lurking and if there's a chance of being busted, they won't stop. Similarly, when someone rings the bell to get off, the baht buses will stop at the next bus stop rather than stop on demand... in the middle of the road. champers
Most caution is being exercised where police are nearby: junction Klang & 2nd Road, Beach Road, Dolphin Circus. Further away it's "as you were".
