Marvo
The Mrs has been to Honda in Hua Hin and Cha-Am, both of whom are NOT selling for cash - Only deposit + finance. Price table on Honda website quotes 80,000 / 85,000 Baht. Honda Cha-Am are quoting 3 months delivery, 98,000 Baht drive-away price, finance only. Hua Hin dealer also quoting 3 months, finance only, and cannot tell her the price! Anyone got the inside scoop?
Popular Post eisfeld
Sounds like a scam to me. Call Honda head office in BKK inside the dealer and ask them to verify that not selling for cash at all is something the dealers are allowed to do. The dealer will most likely very quickly change their stance. Another method is to make them give you that policy in writing by asking via Facebook or Line chat. And then forward that to HQ. Dealers are always trying to push you into a finance deal because they make a lot more cash on that via comission. Not even being able to tell the price though is pretty rough even for local standards. PS: I haven't been to Hua Hin and Cha-Am yet but shouldn't there be more than one Honda dealer in each town? Try a couple more. Hopefully they're not all owned by the same owner.

I paid cash for it, and the afterservice is excellent, if I want to know anything or get any advice about the bike, insurance etc, I just phone Brian, or email the showroom, and it always gets answered. Highly recommended.

It feels much better, much more feedback from the bike, PCX is a vague floater, the Aerox brakes are so much better than the linked crap on the PCX, with the extra power it can keep in front of most of the traffic. Far Far better.

Ok I know this goes a little off this topic but would you do 1 extended ride on the bike say over 2 or 3 days( I will be moving to Lam Plai Mat later this year and would like to buy local to not only help out the locals but to keep in good with local dealers) I will use the bike locally for maybe 10 days to source a place to live and then ride it back to Chiang Mai before shipping it back with the rest of our stuff once all is done here(it wont cost extra as its a all in moving cost), so do you or any others do extended trips on scooters. Once settled I will be getting either a Forza or maybe another make for extended travel.

Once settled I will be getting either a Forza or maybe another make for extended travel. I have had plenty of extended trips on scooter myself. I drove back and forth from Phetchaburi to Mae Hong Son (practically nonstop, ±1000 km each way) + visited most of Isaan the previous year which amounted in another 2300kms in 3-4 days. I ran it on a Honda Wave, but it would be feasible on any bike as long as its in good condition and you don't wring the throttle 100% the whole way. I would suggest getting oil changed/maintenance first of course. about the trips, locals strongly against it, "bike would run too hot" and blabla It seems they are scared of running a motorbike more than like 20kms for some odd reasons I went to Myanmar border in Kanchanaburi for visa runs from Cha-am which is a 8 hours or so deal a few times.. local taxi guy asked me where i would sleep.. I said "what? I'll be back here the same day!" to which he replied "Impossible." next day at 1pm I am sitting on the beach.. he comes around and asks why I didn't go to Myanmar. I told him "I already went and was back 30 minutes ago"

Popular Post jackcorbett
Or you can get the Yamaha NMax for a lot less than the PCX150 although it's still higher than the Aerox. Both the Aerox and Nmax share the same 155 c.c. Bluecore engine which is 10 percent more powerful than the PCX150. My good friend just bought the Aerox. I test drove an Aerox rental he got a couple of weeks ago while he drove my Nmax. The main reason he did not buy an Nmax is he thinks the styling is too much like the PCX's. Although theoretically the Aerox should be a tad faster than the Nmax due to its being lighter weight, I felt my Nmax was a bit snappier. The larger tires of the Aerox made it seem "more planted", but it was also a bit less nimble. I would think the larger (14 inch) tires of the Aerox would make it more stable at high speed on the highway. But nearly all my driving is in the Pattaya city environment. And the 13 inch Nmax tires are more than stable enough for the kind of driving I do. Besides...I've had my Nmax up to 120 kph and at such speeds I believe my Nmax is more stable than the PCX150 with its 14 inch tires. And although the Aerox undoubtedly has excellent brakes the Nmax has even better brakes. The 13 inch tires allow me to initiate turns quicker than larger tires do. Plus, I have total confidence in my bike's braking power and this confidence tends to make me go a lot faster than I would on a bike that has inferior brakes to mine. Actually even though it's an automatic, the Nmax is a very sporty and fast bike to drive in the Pattaya area. For many it's roomier and more comfortable than an Aerox. And here's the real kicker. It has a 6.6 liter fuel tank to the Aerox's 4.6 liter tank. At around 80,000 baht I think it's the most fun, best all around bike one can have in the Pattaya driving environment at any price. And it's supremely practical. Then again, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder so if my pal prefers the Aerox to an Nmax, all the power to him. Both are great bikes. And at the substantially higher prices that are now apparently being charged for PCX's, it's now no contest between Yamaha and Honda. Just pick your flavor. AllanB
I think Honda have realised the bike's appeal and whacked the price up, the Forza now seems to be the bike to buy, twice the bike, nowhere near twice the price. That will be Hondas next price-hike target..IMO. The Forza's new colours look nice too. Dave's wife packs the kitchen sink in theirs, she thinks its a pickup!! They emptied the bike..filled the hotel room.....
