RAYONG: -- Sawang Pornkuson foundation medics struggled for two hours to extricate a 300 kilogram man from his Rayong house yesterday after he developed breathing difficulties.

An ordinary stretcher was useless and they had to fashion a lifting device made from a mattress to move 29 year old Suksornchai Poonkhan from his house at the Sri Sunthorn housing estate in Nern Phra district, reported Thai News Agency.

Then when they finally got him outside they realized that it was impossible to get him in the ambulance.

So he was loaded on the back of a pick-up and taken to hospital.

Relatives said that Suksornchai's weight was quite normal up until December when he had an operation.

Thereafter he had been told not to consume more than 800 milliliters of water a day but he had been unable to stick to this in the hot weather.

His weight had ballooned by over 200 kilos in three months, they said, leaving him housebound and desperate.

Yesterday he developed breathing difficulties and needed urgent treatment. He is now under observation in hospital.

I am no medical professional, but I find that very hard to believe.

800 millilitres  of water a day, rubbish.

Whoever came up with that 1 is an idiot.

After my accident i was only sipping water, not drinking enough.

I was told by doctors you have to drink at least 2 litres a day, or you will get problems with your kidneys.

He must be consuming water by the cubic meter...

So water was responsible for adding a couple of hundred excess kilogrammes to his weight. All in the space of three to four months, too.

That's nothing, in the USA the Grand poopa of fat people there have been occasions where a wall needed to be knocked down but they all died within a few years anyway
Best just put them down at home and manipulate the body
